Yorkshire Rose Dyslexia 12th May 2018
22nd May 2018
We were really happy to attend and deliver workshops at the Yorkshire Rose Dyslexia Conference in Bradford. We love our friendship with this organisation, as it not only enables us to keep up to date with all the newest research re: links between spoken and written language, but also enables us to put oral language on the table for schools and settings who are interested in the best way to support their learners in literacy. Our approaches are all geared towards functional classroom outcomes for children in both their speaking and listening skills and their ability to structure and organise their writing. The links to metacognition and learner independence were so crucial here and it was great for us to hear new strategies from the wonderfully knowledgeable and experienced expert in her field, Rachel Ingham from Understanding and Supporting Learning. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Yorkshire Rose Dyslexia in the years to come!
