Frequently asked questions about arranging speech and language therapy for schools
What information should we include in a speech and language therapy enquiry?
It is helpful to tell us your name and role, the name and location of your school or setting, and a little about the challenges you are facing or the support you are considering.
You do not need to provide detailed information about individual pupils at this stage. We can discuss what we need to know during the initial conversation.
Do you provide private speech and language therapy directly to parents and families?
Interactions is a school-based speech and language therapy service working with schools, nurseries and other education settings, rather than a private service commissioned directly by individual families.
Parents and carers remain an important part of supporting the child. With the appropriate consent, we communicate and work collaboratively with families as part of the provision arranged through their child’s setting.
